Outside The Villa - Front and Pool Area

Outside the villa in the front.

Outside the front of the villa the garden is attractively landscaped with palm trees and shrubs and has a large drive with parking for up to four cars. The view from the front of the home overlooks grass and woodland and often wildlife such as Sandhill Cranes and even wild deer can be spotted on the grass area.

Pool Area

Watersong Resort is a conservation area which means that you can enjoy your beautiful and very private pool area, overlooking woodland views  with the additional joy of spotting some of the amazing birds and wildlife that Florida has in abundance. Then, when you feel fully recharged, you can jump in the car and head to off to the wealth of attractions that are all just a short drive away.

The 30’ x 15’ oversized pool (max depth 5’) with spa (hot tub) have inbuilt flood lighting for the evenings. There are also solar lights around the decking area which come on when it is dark and help create a lovely setting for your evenings outside by the pool.

There is a pool safety fence in place for the protection of children. The pool decking is larger than that at many villas and has been extended to make most of the sunshine as well as offering more space for the range and layout of the outside furniture.

There is a wide range of high quality, outside furniture to help you make the most of your time by the pool and in the sunshine.  There are 4 sun loungers with luxuriously padded, full length cushions which are fantastic for sunbathing on. With two drinks tables to go with the sun loungers having a drink and some snacks close to hand is a breeze. The villa has two outdoor dining tables and chairs for up to 10 people (two of which are rocking chairs with fully padded seats, ideal either for at the table or for sitting on your own with a book). One of the dining tables is situated underneath the canopy on the patio next to the lounge/kitchen. This makes it very convenient for serving up a meal in the evenings and has the benefit of outdoor lighting directly overhead which works on a dimmer switch so can be adjusted. The other dining table and chairs are placed on the far side of the pool deck and  are the perfect place to sit and have breakfast whilst overlooking the woodland and the glimmer of the lake whilst you do a bit of bird spotting. This table has an umbrella to provide some much needed shade for when the sun is shining (as it nearly always is) and you want to have lunch by the pool.

The showpiece on the deck, which for many of our guests is their favourite spot by the pool, is the wonderful rattan sofa with its deeply padded cushion seats, a matching footstool and a large, central drinks table. So lovely is this sofa to sit out on that we recently extended it, in February 2020. Initially it was an L-shaped design with seating for 8 but now with the new additional places it is a U-shaped set up and comfortably seats 10-11 guests sat together at one time.

This corner of the decking is the perfect place to gather as a family or group of friends for a chat over a few drinks or if you are able to get some time to yourself it is an amazing place to lay out with a book or have a snooze in the sun. The pool deck is not just for the daytime though and many a wonderful evening can be spent by the pool under the stars. With the pool having floodlighting as well as there being a number of solar lights around the pool deck the outside area is nicely illuminated for when it gets dark. Swimming in your own private pool, looking up at the dark, starlit sky can be a real highlight of your holiday.
The entire decking is covered by a lanai with additional privacy screening (6’ high) for your maximum enjoyment. The lanai is there to keep out insects and any wildlife as well as adding to your sense of privacy and security. It does not however impact upon your ability to catch the sun.
